The St George Campdraft Association is hosting the 2015 National ACA Finals.

What an exciting time for us here in St George – we are chuffed to be hosting the finals. We think the St George venue is terrific and with the great sportsmanship and welcoming attitude of campdrafters the Finals promise to be a memorable one.

With the continuing drought and only some of us fortunate enough to get under the rain, it has been pretty tough for our committee to secure sponsorship but . . . they came through and what we have is wonderful. So on behalf of the St George Campdraft Association we would like to sincerely thank our sponsors for their support in 2015. We are hoping whilst you are here in St George at the finals you may be able to utilise what the sponsors have to offer.

You will find the PROGRAM for the finals on both this website,  the ACA website and in the ACA magazine. The NOMINATION FORMS are also available on this website and the ACA Website.

Also, don’t forget to check out our St George Campdraft Inc Facebook page for more updates!

Hope to see you there.

Cheers Polly & Co

2014 Wrap Up

St George Campdraft Assoc would sincerely like to thank the unbelievable effort put in by all committee members and helpers. 1645 runs and 300 scratchings made up an amazing 2400 cattle that were carted in over the 3 1⁄2 days by Ben Donpon his drivers and helpers doing approx 3600 km over that time. 1385 cattle were brought in from “Strathmere” owned by Rosewood Station. Hamish and Mary McIntyre’s contribution to the campdraft association is hard to describe, they are a community minded family that have helped us over the last 8 years since the St George Campdraft Assoc was formed in 2005, by supplying cattle. We cannot thank them enough. As with John Wilson and Kylie Simpson from TJ & A Bradstreet Pastoral Co who have also supported us since starting, by donating cattle each year, 450 came in from Mooramanna and Dalkeith over the weekend. Thanks to John and his helpers. Dave and Kate Lyons from “Weealah” also donated 180 cattle for the ladies draft. A very special mention also goes to Andrew & Courtney Turvey, Justin Vivers and everyone that helped Andrew get cattle from “Strathmere”. It was a massive job well done. All the girls that helped me in the office, Lisa, Katie, Bec, Lisa , Carolyn and Courtney. Thanks girls I appreciate your help” like you wouldn’t believe”. My announcers also did a great job Thanks to, Dugald McIntosh, Dave Tattam, Josh Carrigan, Brett Peachy, Jodie Crosier & Lisa. Time keepers and front gate men, yardmen, all our bar staff, and Ken Southern our groundsman, who did a fantastic job on the grounds over the weekend, also need a special mention. Thanks to you all. We would like to Thank our Sponsors for 2014, KVA Helicopters, Reid Earthmoving, BFS, Woodrow Welding, Tilley’s, Balonne Shire Council, Cross Engineering, Reids Mechanical, South West Hay Supplies, Newforce livestock, Necklaces by Lou, Susan Cutler’s “Kirkby Stud Officer”, Brian Southern, John Southern, D & K Lyons, J & K Birney, and Balonne Sports Store. All the competitors were great, good sportsmanship, great mates together sharing a wonderful sport. The St George Campdraft Committe along with president Brian Southern, Vice President Jason Birney and Secretary/Treasurer Polly Southern hope all competitors had a good weekend and arrived home safely.
